The shares went into orbit, briefly going over £10, after the release of results for 2010, which were slightly ahead of expectations. Sales were up 83% to £139m and pretax profit was £26.5m, which represents growth of 235% over the £7.9m that Supergroup made last year when it was a private business. Earnings per share were 33.3p. Net cash at the year end was £28m.Both sides of the business performed well. In the Retail division, operating profits rose from £4.7m to £15.8m on sales up by 77% to £86.4m. Results benefited from strong growth in like-for-like sales, which were reported to be up by 17% and 20 new store openings.  Operating profit went up from £4.7m to £15.9m.
