The shares have had a good month hitting a new high after news that the iSYS instrument and automated Vitamin D immunoassay kit had got FDA approval at long last. This will enable the system (device and test) to be launched in the US immediately. As we said in January, the US is IDS' biggest market and it has already had notable success there with its “manual” Vitamin D testing products - with sales of this test increasing by 72% from £12m to £22m in the year to 31 March. Vitamin D testing remains at an elevated state worldwide and has clearly been the main driver to sales growth, which overall ballooned by 49% to £37.1m.  Pretax profit was up 130% to £11m and eps were up 78% to 28.9p. ...
