No particular shocks in the latest trading update. Superglass, which supplies glass mineral fibre insulation products, has reported that the first four months saw trading broadly in line with expectations. The business is benefiting from increased levels of demand arising from the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) programme although the supplies into the new housing sector are problematic. However, Superglass said it is proactively managing its cost base and remains highly cash generative. In fact, it continues to reduce its debt by over £1m each half year (net debt was £23m at the end of H1 when interest cover was already 6x against covenant of 4x).Superglass also said that in November, John Smellie, the curre ...
