Lavendon has issued a better than expected update ahead of interim results on 28 August. It said that overall the business has remained strongly cash generative and helped by reduced capital expenditure, net debt levels have reduced. All as per plan.For the first five months of the year, revenues have declined by 5% (13% on a constant currency basis). The UK and German business have both declined by double digits but this has been mitigated by taking out further costs to deliver the annualised reduction of Â£6m on the cost base in the UK and Eu2.5m in Germany.
