The shares surged by 18% to 195p after Domino's latest results for the six months to 29 June show the business has more than doubled in size in the past three years. Adjusted profit was up 32% to £10.9m but boosted by the ongoing share buy back, eps rose 40% to 5.1p. Domino's said it is benefiting from consumers "trading down," eating out less often and instead ordering takeaways. Overall like-for-like sales grew 11.4% in 450 mature stores and helped by a full period contribution from the 50 stores opened in 2007 and a part contribution from another 25 stores opened this first half, overall system sales increased by 20% to £170.2m.
