The shares are subdued following a 500,000 share sale by chairman Sir Terry Matthews and also a rumoured share sale by the Canadian federal government (which in 2002 received warrants to buy c.5% of the equity in return for $5 million in research and development assistance). All this overshadowed Q4 results, which were the 11th consecutive quarter of sales growth, with sales of C$21.4m giving rise to a pretax profit of C$6m. For the full year to 30 April, sales therefore totalled C$76.2m, up 79% on last year, and earnings, excluding the recognition of future tax assets, were C$20.6m (for earnings per share of C$1.22 on a 2% tax rate).
