With the World Cup falling into the traditionally busy period for the Company, together with its results for the year to 30 April, La Tasca has warned that the current year has started slowly. Even so, the market’s reaction of knocking the shares back to the lowest level since the flotation at 110p in Feb ‘05 appears an overreaction. The problems appear largely isolated and attributed to the company’s predominantly female clientele being put off entering city centre restaurants due to boisterous all male groups in bars and clubs during the World Cup.
