Last month NSB, a supplier of computer software and services to fashion retailers and department stores, announced three significant contract wins although the reaction by investors was surprisingly muted. Fund managers might have stood up and taken immediate notice if the names were familiar UK-ones but they don't appear to appreciate that the US is a massive market and these are large deployments; an earlier contract with J C Penny, a retailer with 1,000 stores and 40 tills in each store, is the most extreme example of the size of contracts in North America.
