It was a case of killing two birds with one stone when we met with Nick Eckert, a director of two AIM-listed funds, Climate Exchange Group (CLE;267p) and Trading Emissions (TRE;115p). Both companies provide further exposure to the rapidly growing investment opportunity that exists in emissions trading. Climate Exchange was established  in late 2003 by Eckert, a former executive with reinsurance broker Benfield, together with former professor Dr Richard Sandor, who pioneered the development of financial futures in the 1970s when he established the Chicago Board of Trade's Treasury futures contract.
