Having promised a strong H2 in November, Judges duly delivered. As it was things turned out even better than brokers had been forecasting and boosted by an 11 month contribution from Armfield, sales went up 39% to £56.2m (5% organic) and adjusted profit increased 33% to £8.7m. Adjusted eps grew 30% to 107.3p.Regionally, sales were up 10% in UK, 4% in the USA and 48% in China. Sales into Continental Europe were stable reflecting the ongoing challenging economic environment.The group is managed in two distinct divisions: materials science and the vacuum group (electrophysiology and electron microscopy & vacuum technologies).
