Unlike the US, where equipment rental groups are stars, most UK investors are largely unaware of the merits of Waterlogic, a business that is one of the world's largest suppliers of mains fed water purifiers to offices, available for either sale or rental. It might appear an unglamorous business but Waterlogic has a significant installed base of water purifiers in Western Europe and the US but has kept a low profile in the UK. This is because in the late 1990s, Waterlogic sold its flourishing UK operations to PHS, a mini Rentokil-lookalike, giving it a pile of cash to expand its overseas operations.
