YouGov - UK margins recover and US takes off

The stock market is showing signs of going to sleep for the summer but that does not necessarily mean investors should do the same. One company that might just lift your torpor is internet business Yougov. The business is best known for media polling (canvasing opinions on how individuals intend to vote on elections) but this activity is only a small part of its business; instead, YouGov's mainstay is online market research for corporates. As we describe below, the problems that drove the share price down so dramatically back in 2008 stemmed from an ill-judged acquisition in Germany.
