Tikit - Carpe Diem could exceed forecast

The downturn of the past two years has seen Tikit cut costs across the board but it has also encouraged management to take a critical look at its own business elements, withdrawing from some areas that weren't contributing much of a return and investing in areas with potential for faster returns such as owned software and managed services. The second half of 2010 saw this strategy start to pay off with reported sales up 7% to £26.9m and pretax profit up by 25% to £3.5m. Adjusted eps was up 28% to 19.6p. Net cash went up from £1.6m to £2.9m, despite spending £1.3m on two acquisitions and £0.9m on dividends.
