As expected an excellent set of results for 2009, together with a date for the Hong Kong listing - and confirmation there is to be no associated fundraising. Excellent. Having fired up the Ankang plant (its third plant) during the year and consolidated production from the Xiushan plant (bought in January), overall output amounted to 5.08m tonnes, an increase of 47% year-on-year. But with average selling prices also up by 14% during the year, sales jumped by 75% to RMB1,517m. Efficiency gains and stable input prices, however, culminated in pretax profits increasing by 111% to RMB544m. Earnings were RMB5.07 or 49.7p (based on £/RMB =10.2).
