Shares in Yell (YELL; 16p) have begun to rise from their lows on significant volume. Most subscribers will be familiar with the business ,which includes the Yellow Pages and Business Pages directories in the UK and Yellow Book directories in the US. It's probably therefore an interesting company to feature directly following our article on Johnston Press (JPR;6.7p), as local paper advertising is the obvious competitor to classified directories.Historically, national telecom operators published telephone directories as they were readily able to populate the pages of the directory by using their own customer list.
