China Shoto has reported that results for 2007, which are due to be reported on 22 April, will be ahead of market expectations. The accelerated rollout of the 3G network in China has resulted in major orders from China's two largest telecoms companies, China Mobile and China Unicom, whilst good progress has been made in export markets, with a £5m order secured in India for delivery this year. In addition, China Shoto also reported it has initiated negotiations with key customers to address the issue of rising lead prices by indexing contracts to the price of the raw material. Before the news, Seymour Pierce was forecasting £6.2m pretax (eps 22.5p) for the year about to be reported with £7.3m (25.5p) this year. ...
