Wilmington has reported results for the seasonally quieter first half. Sales were up 8% to £40m and adjusted pretax profit lifted by 32% to £4.6m. Adjusted eps was 3.7p. The group's largest division, legal and regulatory, grew revenues by 16% to £18.9m but profit was flat at £4.38m. The two core businesses of Central Law, which operates training courses and Waterlow, which sells directories and online databases, remain healthy. Both are leading products but Wilmington has recently invested in new products and this has held back profitability.
