Over the month we had a very enjoyable lunch with Paul Nichols, chief executive of Kewill, 64p. Our feeling as we came away was that the trading statement due on 20 April shouldn’t contain any unwelcome surprises and that Kewill will hopefully confirm it is on track to meet expectations for the year to 31 March (due 8 June). Broker, Arbuthnot, forecast eps of 1.5p for the year just ended, rising to 3.2p this year and 4.4p next. That may not appear cheap but Kewill will also have cash of £18.2m at the March year end, equivalent to 23p a share.
