Over the last five years, the complexity of chip designs has lifted sixteen-fold, making verification (the process of thoroughly testing designs prior to mass production) an increasingly complex task.  TransEDA is a supplier of software simulation tools for the electronicsindustry to facilitate this process. The company is still small but themarket is expanding. Its turnover has risen from £3.2m in 1998 to an expected £8.5m for the year that ends in June and the business is expected to stay profitable.
